The pattern links a professional to their primary workplace: a doctor is associated with a hospital, so a teacher is associated with a school. “Chalkboard” and “diploma” are objects, and “student” is a person the teacher interacts with — neither is a workplace.
2, 4, 8, 16, ?
Each term is double the one before it: 2 → 4 → 8 → 16 → 32. The rule is multiplicative, not additive — 18, 20 and 24 are built by adding a fixed amount, which tests whether you found the actual operation or just a plausible-looking next number.
Which option is the mirror image of the shape shown?
A mirror image flips the shape across a vertical axis without rotating it — Option B. Option C is the shape unchanged, and Options A and D are rotations (180° and 90°): they preserve the same “handedness” as the original, which a true reflection never does.

Every row and every column adds one dot moving left to right and top to bottom (1, 2, 3 in row one; 2, 3, 4 in row two). The bottom row runs 3, 4 — so the missing cell continues the same rule and must contain 5 dots.

The verbal domain necessarily depends on English vocabulary and idiom, so non-native speakers may see that section underrepresent their reasoning ability. If language could be a factor for you, our Culture-Fair IQ Test removes it entirely, testing only abstract and spatial pattern reasoning.

No — use the age-specific version instead. Children’s reasoning abilities are still developing, so the Kids IQ Test uses dedicated age-band norms across ages 4–17 rather than comparing a child’s raw performance against the adult scale.
Likely yes, and that’s expected rather than a sign the first result was wrong. Extreme scores are more affected by chance and off-day factors, so a retest tends to land closer to your true average — a statistical pattern called regression to the mean, not evidence of a real change in ability.
