What is Bad Bunny’s IQ?
A 2012 diploma, about two and a half years at a public university without a degree, then the first all-Spanish-language Album of the Year: the record behind the Bad Bunny IQ question is achievement, not a score.

No published IQ test result exists for Bad Bunny, and no celebrity-IQ page we opened prints a Bad Bunny IQ score. What is documented is a 2012 high-school diploma, about two and a half years at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo without a degree, and six Grammy Awards as of September 2026. That supports an estimated IQ level of roughly 115–135, an inference from a career, not a measurement.

Bad Bunny’s estimated IQ

What the estimate rests on
  • Graduated from Juan Quirindongo Morell High School in Vega Baja in 2012, then enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo, where he studied for about two and a half years and did not graduate, according to Primera Hora (February 8, 2024), with Agencia EFE (July 2025) confirming the 2012 diploma.
  • Named ASCAP Songwriter of the Year in July 2020, and credited by the Recording Academy, under his birth name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, as one of five songwriters on Debí Tirar Más Fotos (released January 5, 2025), the 2026 Album of the Year winner.
  • Six Grammy Awards from 16 nominations as of September 2026 (GRAMMY.com), among them Album of the Year, Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance (“EoO”) at the 68th ceremony on February 1, 2026.
  • Headlined the Super Bowl LX halftime show on February 8, 2026, the first by a Latino solo artist; the special won Outstanding Variety Special (Live) at the Creative Arts Emmys on September 5, 2026, with him credited as a producer and performer.
  • Spotify’s most-streamed artist worldwide in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2025, the first artist to take the top spot four times, with 19.8 billion streams in 2025 (Spotify, December 3, 2025).

No IQ, SAT, grade or class-rank figure has been published, and the university record is unfinished: about two and a half years, no degree. Streams, chart records and awards measure audience reach, and studio work is shared with producers and co-writers, so a music career is a weak anchor for an IQ estimate. That is why the band is 20 points wide, wider than the 15-point bands on several musician pages here.

Context

What an IQ of 115–135 actually means

Set the claim aside for a moment. If someone genuinely scored in this range, here is what that would represent.

Standard scale, mean 100, standard deviation 15
Score rangeClassificationShare of peopleWhat it indicates
85 – 114Average~68%The range most people fall into.
115 – 129Above average~13.6%Roughly one person in seven.
130 – 144Gifted~2%The threshold most high-IQ societies use.
Above 144Highly gifted~0.1%Figures above this range are extrapolated from the curve rather than measured.

Percentages are approximate and describe a normal distribution. The same number means different things on tests with different standard deviations.

Background

Who Bad Bunny is

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, who performs as Bad Bunny, was born on March 10, 1994, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, according to Britannica, and raised in Almirante Sur, a barrio of Vega Baja. He finished Juan Quirindongo Morell High School in Vega Baja in 2012; a school custodian told EFE in 2025 that he loved Spanish class, and he told Time in 2023, about growing up in Almirante Sur, “We had to do good in school.” Britannica says he then studied audiovisual communication at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo, and GQ calls him a “communications student” there. Primera Hora reported on February 8, 2024 that he studied at the campus for about two and a half years and did not graduate, pausing his studies to dedicate himself to music; how far grades track measured ability is a separate question (see how well IQ predicts school success).

From 2013 to 2016 he worked at the Econo Plaza supermarket in Vega Baja, first as a bagger and then as a cashier, according to EFE; GQ says he began uploading tracks to SoundCloud while a student at Arecibo. DJ Luian discovered “Diles” and signed him to Hear This Music in 2016 (Britannica). In 2018 he worked with Cardi B and J Balvin on “I Like It”, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and on October 11 released “Mía” with Drake, which peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100; his first studio album, X 100pre, followed on December 24, 2018. YHLQMDLG (February 29, 2020) debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and El Último Tour Del Mundo (November 27, 2020) became the first all-Spanish-language album to reach No. 1 there, with 116,000 units in the week ending December 3, 2020, according to Billboard.

Billboard noted in December 2020 that only four all-Spanish-language albums had ever reached the Billboard 200’s top five: his two, Maná’s Amar es Combatir and Shakira’s Fijación Oral, Vol. 1. Shakira co-headlined the Super Bowl LIV halftime show on February 2, 2020, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, with Jennifer Lopez, and Bad Bunny appeared as a guest. Un Verano Sin Ti (May 6, 2022) won Best Música Urbana Album at the 65th Grammy Awards and was nominated for Album of the Year in a field that included Beyoncé’s Renaissance, per GRAMMY.com; Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana followed on October 13, 2023. ASCAP named him Songwriter of the Year in July 2020, and Spotify’s year-end rankings put him first worldwide in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2025 (19.8 billion streams in 2025), with Taylor Swift on top in 2023 and 2024.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos, his sixth solo studio album, was released on January 5, 2025. At the 68th Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026 it won Album of the Year, the first all-Spanish-language album to win in the category’s history, and Best Música Urbana Album, while “EoO” won Best Global Music Performance, bringing his total to six wins from 16 nominations as of September 2026 (GRAMMY.com). The other Album of the Year nominees included Justin Bieber’s SWAG and Lady Gaga’s MAYHEM. One week later, on February 8, 2026, he headlined the Super Bowl LX halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the first by a Latino solo artist and the first performed mostly in Spanish, with Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin as guests; the special won Outstanding Variety Special (Live) at the Creative Arts Emmys on September 5, 2026, and he was credited as a producer and performer. His film credits include Bullet Train (2022) and Caught Stealing (2025).

Where it came from

Why no figure circulates

Following a claim back to its first appearance is the part almost nobody does — and it is what most people are actually asking.

Bad Bunny in tinted aviator sunglasses and a velvet shirt, photographed in Los Angeles in October 2019

There is no Bad Bunny IQ score to trace, and that absence is itself the finding. The one page we found that takes up the question, realiqtest.org’s “What Is Bad Bunny’s IQ?” (March 20, 2024), declines to give a number, and the celebrity-IQ lists and site indexes where other musicians’ figures live, among them scientific.place, sociosite.net and iqcertificate.org, have no page for him, although several carry one for Drake. Most profiles on this site start from a figure that traces back to a single unsourced page (see where celebrity IQ numbers come from); this one starts from nothing, so the estimate has to be built entirely from what is documented.

What turns up instead of a score is noise. Searches for “Bad Bunny IQ” and “Bad Bunny IQ test” return pages about his height, news items and generic IQ-test apps, and a news search on the same words returns a run of IQ Magazine stories. IQ Magazine is a trade title for the live-music business, and it has covered his tours, so its name matches the query without measuring anyone. The closest thing to a comment on his intelligence is anecdote: a school custodian told Agencia EFE in 2025 that he was “very calm, very smart.” That is a recollection, not a test, and a diploma is not one either (see achievement tests versus IQ tests).

Bad Bunny’s IQ level cannot be read off a career, and the width of this band says so: even a properly administered full-scale test carries a margin of error of a few points (how the margin of error works). On the standard 15-point scale 115–135 runs from about the 84th to the 99th percentile; its midpoint, an IQ of 125, is clearly above average and well short of a genius label (see whether 130 is genius). Songwriting and performing are real skills but not what an IQ test scores, and the work is shared: the Recording Academy lists him as one of five songwriters on the album that won Album of the Year.

Placed among the musicians on this site whose ranges also rest on achievement, 115–135 contains the 115–130 given to Drake and overlaps Shakira’s 125–140 between 125 and 135. The only graded marks on Drake’s page are a 97% high-school final and an 88% course mark; Bad Bunny’s record has no published equivalent, no grades and no class rank. Kim Namjoon (RM of BTS), another non-English-language act with a global audience, is placed at 130–145 partly on a completed online-university degree. Bad Bunny’s record has a diploma and an unfinished degree, which is one reason his band starts lower and runs wider.

The evidence

The sources behind our estimate

The figures that circulate for Bad Bunny, what we were able to confirm, and where the two diverge.

Most widely cited—

No IQ figure circulates for Bad Bunny. Searches for “Bad Bunny IQ”, “Bad Bunny IQ score”, “Bad Bunny IQ test” and “is Bad Bunny smart” returned pages about his height, news items and generic IQ-test apps, and the one page that takes up the question, realiqtest.org, prints no number.

What we foundNo test result, and no circulating figure

No published IQ test result for Bad Bunny exists, and no page we could open states a number for him. realiqtest.org’s “What Is Bad Bunny’s IQ?” (March 20, 2024) says there is “no reliable public record” of a professionally administered full-scale score and that any exact number is speculation without a named test, testing conditions, date and primary source. The celebrity-IQ lists at scientific.place, sociosite.net and iqcertificate.org have no entry for him, and scientific.place, celebsiq.com, realiqtestonline.com and celebrityiqs.com, which all carry pages for other musicians, have no page for him. The profiles and interviews we opened (Time, GQ, Agencia EFE, Primera Hora, Britannica) never mention an IQ test.

With no circulating figure there is nothing to audit, so 115 and 135 are this site’s own low and high, not points anyone else has published. The band is twenty points wide because the evidence is thin, and it contains the achievement-based ranges given to Drake, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande (115–130) and to Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga (120–135).

Questions

Bad Bunny — frequently asked

What is Bad Bunny’s IQ?

No IQ test result for Bad Bunny has been published, so his IQ score is not publicly known, and no celebrity-IQ page we opened prints a number for him. An estimated IQ inferred from his documented record, a 2012 high-school diploma, about two and a half years of university and a 2026 Album of the Year win, is roughly 115–135.

Did Bad Bunny ever take an IQ test?

No record of one has surfaced. realiqtest.org (March 20, 2024) says there is no reliable public record of a professionally administered full-scale IQ score for him, and none of the interviews, profiles or award pages we opened reports a test, an examiner or a date.

Is Bad Bunny smart?

Nothing published measures it, but the record shows sustained skill: a high-school diploma in 2012, songwriting credit on the 2026 Album of the Year winner, and six Grammy Awards as of September 2026. A school custodian told Agencia EFE he was “very calm, very smart.” That is achievement and recollection, not a test result, and not proof of genius.

Did Bad Bunny go to college?

Yes, briefly. After finishing Juan Quirindongo Morell High School in 2012 he enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo and studied there for about two and a half years. Primera Hora reported in February 2024 that he did not graduate, and no source we opened documents a completed degree.

How does Bad Bunny’s estimated IQ compare with Drake’s and Shakira’s?

This site’s estimate for Bad Bunny, 115–135, contains Drake’s 115–130 and overlaps Shakira’s 125–140. All three are inferred from achievement, not from test scores, and Bad Bunny’s band is wider because no grades, class rank or entrance-exam score for him is public.

How many Grammy Awards does Bad Bunny have?

As of September 2026, GRAMMY.com lists six wins from 16 nominations for Bad Bunny. The latest came at the 68th ceremony on February 1, 2026: Album of the Year, Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance for “EoO.” Debí Tirar Más Fotos was the first all-Spanish-language album to win Album of the Year.

Why do results for “Bad Bunny IQ” show IQ Magazine?

IQ Magazine calls itself “the essential news resource for the international live music business” and has run stories on his tours, so its name matches the search. Those pages are about the live-music business, not intelligence, and the “IQ” in the title is a brand, not a score.

How does my IQ compare with Bad Bunny?

You can find out in about fifteen minutes. The IQ Metrics assessment is 30 questions, scored on the same 100-mean scale used throughout this page, so your result and the estimate above are at least expressed in the same units — one measured, one inferred. Once you have a number, the leaderboard shows where it would sit, and how we score and norm it explains the benchmarking.

Where does this estimate come from?

From the documented record rather than a test — the method is named above and set out in full under how we read a number. Compare it against the other musicians profiles, starting with Brian May.
